The FANER (Fonds National d’Entretien Routier du Gabon) is the national institution responsible for financing and ensuring the maintenance of Gabon’s road infrastructure. It plays a central role in the preservation of the road network by mobilising and managing dedicated resources for routine and periodic road maintenance.

Its mission is to ensure the sustainability, reliability, and safety of the national road network by providing consistent funding for maintenance activities. Through its interventions, FANER contributes to improving transport efficiency, reducing travel costs, and supporting economic development and territorial connectivity across Gabon.

The institution works in collaboration with government agencies, technical partners, and development institutions to support road maintenance programmes and strengthen the overall performance of the national transport system.
